The key duties of the position include In the role of APS Level 5 Compliance Investigator , your responsibilities will include the following: Conducting compliance investigations, gathering evidence and analysing data to identify non-compliance. Applying regulatory strategies and procedures, taking proportionate action where non-compliance is identified. Preparing tables of evidence to support draft decisions and recommendations for enforcement action including nudge messages, infringements notices, sanctions or prosecutions. Exercising initiative to identify and escalate risks to the team's objectives or strategic direction of the branch. Undertaking regional and interstate travel to conduct monitoring visits. In the role of APS Level 6 Senior Compliance Investigator , your responsibilities will include the following: Leading high-risk investigations, gathering evidence, and analysing data to identify non-compliance or emerging trends. Undertaking risk assessments and making recommendations to the delegate, ensuring accurate interpretation of legislation and consideration of risk levels. Preparing sanctions or other penalties, and compiling cases for Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Federal Court. Providing authoritative advice on investigations, enforcement actions, risk assessments, and best practice in regulatory compliance. Engaging with stakeholders including child care providers, state and territory government representatives, and maintaining productive working relationships. Preparing a range of documents including briefings, reports, policies and standard operating procedures. Undertaking regional and interstate travel to conduct monitoring visits. In the role of Executive Level 1 Assistant Director , you will: Lead and manage complex and sensitive investigations, including evidence gathering through desktop monitoring, site visits, and monitoring warrants, with a strong focus on legislative, policy, and data interpretation. Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance, enforcement actions, and risk assessment, ensuring alignment with relevant legislation, government standards, and best practice models. Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at local, state, and national levels to support program integrity and effective regulatory outcomes. Prepare and review high-level documentation, including ministerial briefs, policy proposals, reports, and standard operating procedures, ensuring clarity and accuracy in complex matters.
